An Emergency Conservation Order (ECO) has been issued for Il-Latnija Cave, now officially scheduled as a Class A archaeological site. The ECO explicitly prohibits “all uses” within the property due to the significant archaeological deposits potentially still in situ.

🚫 In light of this, ClimbMT strongly advises all climbers to respect the ECO and avoid accessing the cave until further updates. Preserving the integrity of the site is crucial—not only for archaeological reasons but also to avoid jeopardising any future possibility of climbing access.
