Following the announcement that Il-Latnija Cave is to be fenced off due to significant archaeological discoveries, ClimbMT has formally written to the Cultural Directorate within the Ministry for National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government.

We have highlighted the site’s importance and uniqueness for the local and international climbing community and have requested a meeting to discuss how access to the climbing routes can be retained responsibly.

We will keep the community informed of any developments.
